Thousand Dances was founded by and is run by Reed Watson and Addy Kimbrell. Our staff is based in New Orleans, LA, Atlanta, GA and Florence, AL. With extensive experience running an indie label, touring in bands big and small, handling royalty accounting, managing tours, communicating with and working in indie retail, coordinating release strategy on a global scale, and working directly with enthusiastic fanbases, we provide a comprehensive, logical and art-centric approach to reaching your goals.

We are named in honor of the classic song Land of 1000 Dances, written in New Orleans by Chris Kenner and made popular worldwide by a recording in Muscle Shoals by the great Wilson Pickett. It’s a joyful song put to tape by players from different backgrounds, emblematic of the South we identify with. Together, we can reach farther and achieve more.
